Since my primary school, I have always wanted to be like Ted. Ted? The most outstanding student of your classroom since the time I can remember. Someone whom teachers loved. Everyone’s favourite and most loved student of the class. Since then whenever I was asked the most important question that what did I want to become in life?”, my answer used to always. “Ted”. One day my Mum made me sit around with her and told me what exactly distinguishes Ted from the rest? What are those habits that makes him an outstanding student? In this article, I am going to highlight some insights which I got that day from my Mum. If each and every student inculcates such classroom habits, he can never miss any chance to fall into the category of outstanding students like Ted. So, fasten your seat belts and jot them down.
· Prepare yourself.
Prepare yourself for the upcoming session with a quick pre-read. This not only makes you proactive in the class but also increase your level of engagement during class.
· Be there.
Being in class early on time is a sign of a good learner. Delaying your arrival into class is a sign of ignorance and showcases that you apparently do not care. Do not portray yourself as someone like that.
· Pay attention.
Paying attention to what your teacher says is the ultimate key to success. There may be instances when you don’t feel like studying at all. Give your best to keep yourself focussed during those times.
· Always take notes
Handwritten notes are the best source of learning. Always be keen on listening. Don’t just write down for the sake of writing. Understand there is a reason behind you to be taking notes. Respect that and due it with putting your best efforts.
· Ask questions
John Maxwell once said he loved curious people and immensely enjoyed spending time with them, as their excitement so as to gain knowledge and learning is extremely contagious. They tend to ask you questions which even you never thought of the first place. They intrigue you and makes you wonder scenarios which you were incapable of imagining once.
· Repeat
Repeat Every class, every day is the mantra that each student must follow. If you had an effective assignment writing class, revise it till you become confident enough. Remember that it is the repetition that ultimately turns into habits.
Always set long term goals, dear folks. Always try to be that student who is loved by each and every faculty in the school or college.  Always question yourself on what have you missed and what can help you be the better version of yourself each day.
Hope this help. Good luck!
